Orginating in Scotland the spurtle was used to stir porridge to keep it from getting lumpy. Now this Amercanized version is a cooking utensil with many great uses, making it the perfect addition to your kitchen tool arsenal. Uses include stirring, scraping, spreading and anything else you can imagine! Each spurtle is carved from a single piece of wood then sanded and finished with a food safe mineral oil.
Because of variation in wood no two pieces will be identical.

Handwash with mild detergent and hot water. Please do not put your item in the dishwasher, as this will damage the integrity of the material. Apply food grade mineral oil a couple times a year or more with frequent use.
